Remember…
that time you dated someone in your building, and it didn’t work out, because it was clear that you were a rebound. But you were cool with that, you just ended things (even though you did like them a whole lot but the timing as always was off) - but they weren’t cool with you ending things, at all. But refused to talk to you about it. So instead now you ride the elevator awkwardly every so often. And even though you’ve tried on multiple occasions to engage them and be friendly, they treated you like a total asshole. For just being honest and straightforward.

I personally believe that nearly all relationships could come to their demise more cleanly and with less confusion if the person initiating the break up simply added these two words to the end of their break up sentence.
